Interior Decoration Works Sdn Bhd is a custom carpentry company. We design, build and install cabinets and interior woodwork for homes and commercial spaces in Malaysia.
Our background
How IDW started
IDW was established in 2009 to do one thing well: build carpentry that fits the space it goes into. From the beginning, the work has been custom. Kitchen cabinets drawn around a client's appliances. TV consoles sized to the wall. Wardrobes that reach the ceiling instead of leaving a dusty gap on top.
Over the years the range has grown to cover kitchens, feature walls, built-in storage and bespoke woodwork for offices and shops, but the approach is the same. We measure, we plan, we build, and we install.

Quality and detail
The small things are the job.
Most people judge carpentry by how it looks on the first day. We think about how it behaves in the third year. Doors that stay aligned. Drawers that close properly when they are full. Edges that do not lift in a humid kitchen.
That is why we pay attention to the parts you do not see: the carcass, the fittings, the joints and the way a unit is fixed to the wall. It is also why we prefer to install our own work.
How we work
From consultation to installation
Consultation
Tell us what you need, by WhatsApp, phone or email. Floor plans and photos help.
Site measurement
We visit the site and measure walls, ceiling height, plumbing and power points.
Design and quotation
You receive a layout, material and finish options, and a written quotation.
Confirmation
Once you approve the design and quotation, we schedule production.
Workshop production
Cabinets are cut, assembled and finished in our own workshop.
Installation
Our team installs on site, adjusts doors and drawers, and walks you through the work.
